Since clients wedding is going take place in "Sand Castle" designer used exiting suitable pop-up shape customizing with new artwork .Front, Rear & the Side view

The Metropolitan Opera -initial concept

On Left side you can see initial version of pop-up representing "THE METROPOLITAN OPERA"  based on modern  shape of  Lincoln Center Building. The challenge was to translate it's architecture in simple paper pop-up shape and make it visually interesting. Small form should be covered with roof. Fully exploring artistic license designer used instead image and forms of clouds.

After finishing was clear to the designer that this is not showing full character and meaning of this place.

The only way to do that was to design it as an Allegory of Opera, the Music and spiritual experience its delivers Portrait it using some symbolic elements (sky, flowers, singers  & Birds) and vertical shape to convey the High Art and Artistic Glory this place bring to everyday life of New York. Horizontal shape simply would not do it. The resulting new shape you can see on the right.

After Finishing Pop-up for The Metropolitan Opera the designer asked himself if this is all  what can be provided for the visitor.

So starting from completely different approach he designed "The Metropolitan Opera -  Good Fortune Flower" - something connected with the main subject only at subconscious level to deliver spiritual experience delivered by music translated this time in visual form of a Flower.
